Personal engagement
Mandates are led personally by the founder, not delegated to junior staff. Clients work directly with senior judgement throughout the engagement.
Endura Energy is built around senior judgement, plant-floor experience and a disciplined approach to complex energy projects.
Endura Energy is a senior advisory and technical execution platform serving renewable energy developers, infrastructure investors, lenders, EPC contractors, utilities and industrial energy users.
The firm focuses on the technical and commercial decisions that determine whether complex energy projects deliver as promised: structuring choices, EPC contracts, technical due diligence, construction supervision, asset performance and turnaround.
Endura works internationally, with particular depth in concentrated solar power, long-duration energy storage, utility-scale solar PV, battery storage, hybrid renewable plants and the supporting infrastructure required to integrate them at scale.
The firm is headquartered in Madrid, Spain, and operates in the United States through its subsidiary Endura Tonopah Energy LLC, a Delaware limited liability company established for U.S. client engagements.
Engagements are senior-led and confidential. Endura partners with a curated network of specialists where projects require additional depth or local presence.

Xavier Lara has more than 25 years of senior international experience in power generation, renewable energy, energy storage and infrastructure projects. His career spans development, EPC, commissioning, operation, M&A and asset turnaround across multiple regions and technologies.
Until October 2025, he served as Chief Executive Officer and Chief Technology Officer of SolStor Energy LLC, a U.S. concentrated solar power, photovoltaic, storage and green fuels developer, and as President of its SolStor Tonopah Energy LLC special-purpose vehicle, structured for the potential acquisition of a U.S. CSP asset.
Earlier senior roles include Senior Vice President for CSP at Pacific Green Technologies Group; Executive Director of Empresarios Agrupados, where he played a key role in the company's sale by its previous shareholders (Iberdrola, Naturgy, Técnicas Reunidas and Ghesa) to China Energy Engineering Corporation (CEEC); and earlier executive-level positions at ACWA Power, NextEra Energy (FPL), Técnicas Reunidas and ACS Cobra. He also served as Chief Executive Officer of Santa Cruz Termosolar SPV in Spain (50 MW CSP plus 5 MW PV).
In 2016, after nearly a decade abroad managing solar thermal power plant projects across four continents, he founded AELIUS Engineers and Consultants in Madrid, building a senior advisory practice that supported clients across CSP, PV, BESS, EPC and project development. Endura Energy continues that work under a new identity, with a sharper focus on senior advisory, technical due diligence, owner's engineering and asset turnaround.
His technical depth covers concentrated solar power and molten-salt storage, utility-scale photovoltaics, battery energy storage systems, hybrid renewable power plants, owner's engineering, and the EPC and contractual frameworks that govern large energy infrastructure. He is currently developing battery energy storage projects in the United States and Chile.
He has worked across Europe, the United States, the Middle East, North Africa and Latin America, supporting developers, investors, lenders, utilities and industrial energy users on senior advisory and execution mandates. He has held senior roles in every major international concentrated solar power market — including the United States, China, the United Arab Emirates, Morocco, South Africa, India, Chile and Spain. He serves as a European Union Climate Pact Ambassador and as a Renewable Energy International Senior Consultant for the Asian Development Bank, with an active mission focused on the use of concentrated solar power as a renewable energy option in Turkmenistan. Until February 2024, he served as a member of the Board of Directors of the Ammonia Energy Association.
Xavier Lara holds the IEA SolarPACES Lifetime Achievement Award (2022) and serves as a European Union Climate Pact Ambassador, with sustained international speaking and publishing activity in concentrated solar power, energy storage and renewable infrastructure.

Recommendations are grounded in hands-on experience operating, building, contracting and acquiring real power plants — not only theoretical analysis.
